Yep, extra exclamations and everything. Saturday was a busy, busy day for me. Shortly after I sent Maddy down the aisle, I rushed off to watch two of my dear friends tie the knot at a private residence in the San Diego area. Todd has been a friend of Josh and mine for about 4 years now, and we had the honor of being a part of his life from the beginning of his relationship with Sara. Josh and Todd are part of that goofy duo that makes up AVNER, now mostly a fond memory of all of ours. But none the less, Sara and Todd had a beautiful ceremony full of love, friends, family and MUSIC more than anything else [wish I could have stuck around for the reception, guys!!]. Their quick 3 month engagement was low key and simple, like them. It was a perfect day, where everyone was pitching in to share in the joy that this couple is so full of. As she walked down the aisle to Todd, I could hardly stay composed [same for Josh, who was standing up there by Todd's side, and for Todd, who was watching Sara walk to him with teary eyes]. I only was able to snap pictures from about 40 minutes before the ceremony on, but here are the few that I got:
Todd was dying to see his bride before the ceremony, but they kept apart that day and it was well worth it!!
From the moment I arrived, Sara was giddy and so excited to be getting married. Raw emotion like hers is hard to find these days! There were no nerves, nothing clouding her mind, just friends and family surrounding her and the excitement oozing out of her at being Todd’s wife [honestly- what more could you pray for, for a friend of yours?? She is truly a blessing!].
I loved this shot of Todd’s mom loving on him with her eyes!
And this next one, as Sara gets her first good look at her groom:
There were moments in the ceremony [I wish I were a better photographer!!] that their love was so apparent. It’s full of tenderness and honesty. I love that about love!
And now… MARRIED!!
I loved these 3 back to back to back:
That second one, they were totally saying “Wow, we’re married!”. Literally!
And of course, one for the blog!!
S+T: being involved in your day in ANY capacity was truly an honor for me! Todd, I’m so glad you found someone to safely place your heart with. You know how much Josh and I longed for her to come along. Sara, I’m thrilled that it was you! I love you two both so so so so so much. Promise me you’ll make it a priority to take a proper honeymoon before life gets in the way of love!! As the saying goes… “love, love, love… and never quit”. I know with you two, there’s nothing to worry about!
