This is the first ever Friday Lovely that isn’t just an image. It’s a whole few minutes worth of eye-pleasing goodness. I absolutely, 100% adorethis video of Max and Margaux’s wedding from Sharkpig. Let’s say I’m posting this in honor of working with Max next month. But really… how could I not? I couldn’t keep this fantastic feeling from you all. It needs to be shared. The infection needs to spread. Viva La Wedding Video! And Viva Love!
How cute are my clients you guys? Seriously though…. how cute are they?? It makes me love my job even more ferociously when I meet and book clients like Emily and Richard. They’re just some of the coolest, most down-to-earth, creative, fun-loving people that everyone wants to be. And they show it. Like when Max Wanger took their engagement photos. Like this:
And just to tip the cute scale even more onto the sickening side…
Oh Em and Rich! I love your love. You two are gonna have the raddest wedding this side of 2011! I can’t wait to share it with you.
Now, this is a controversial one. Why, you may ask? Well, because although I pulled this extremely, over-the-top, gorgeously detailed ceremony shot from Green Wedding Shoes…
…it’s actually more [for me] about the designer: Jesi Haack. And don’t you know the first rule of fight club- I mean… event design? It’s that you don’t talk about your competition. Especially not on your blog. And you for sure don’t befriend them.
But I haven’t ever been much for rules. So, I did. And I am. And I did. Jesi is extremely talented, creative, whimsical, and hard-working. All of the attributes shown here, embodied in this image. And I’m thankful to rub elbows with people of that caliber. So, yeah. We’re friends. It’s just the way we roll.
Maybe this weekend should be about making new, controversial friends for you! Smile at someone unsuspecting and unprompted this Friday. Maybe you can make theirs as lovely as Jesi made mine!
You may be familiar with this because a while back I blogged about it under a different name. Well, now we’re Designer Swap meet. Different name… yes. Same concept… YES! Lots of style… YES!! Please join us!
RSVP over at our eventbrite and let me know you love me… I mean… that you’re gonna be there!
Holy YAY and WOW! I’m so thrilled about the sheer volume of images on this post! I’m flattered and honored that people are loving the designs we’re a part of so much. It’s so great to look back and remember the blood and tears [’cause you know, girls don’t sweat] that went into each and every one of these details. I wouldn’t change a lick of it! Go here and holla at me and our designs!
And thanks to Jeffra @ WeddingWire for being so super awesome and believing in the styling that I do.
Well there aren’t enough minutes in today [particularly] but I just couldn’t wait to share a snip with you. The lovely Therese and Jim and their gorgeously love-filled wedding celebration has been blogged by Amelia Lyon! And guess what? The pictures are even more fantastic than I remember them to be from their same-day slideshow.
They’re just magically dreamy deliciousness. Really! Like 100%. SO, for now…
I most always find what Jen over at Green Wedding Shoes posts absolutely 100% delightful [and if you do, too, you should vote while you can!!] but these images caught me even more. You know, like the million-balloon ceiling treatment:
Or the balloon-y macaron-y cake:
Or the incredibly adorable dress that the bride is working:
Frankly, any of those will do when I think of the term “smashing success” and pairing that with event design. But really, there is a love there and there’s certainly a laughter. I admire all things whimsy and this wedding hit the feeling head on!
E&N tie the knot next month in Long Beach. I cannot think of words to say that will express my excitement and joy working with Elena and [fabulous] family. When E booked me, she hadn’t met me. We’d chatted on the phone, but really- it was her family that gave the true stamp of approval as we went venue searching together on Elena and Nathan’s behalf [you see, they’re East Coasters with a love for Cali and a heart to come back- eventually]. So, her mom and two sisters met me one morning up at the Ebell Club in Long Beach and it was love at first sight. For us all. From then, it’s been my pleasure to meet Elena, hug Elena, and plan with this fun couple. Their wedding is set to be a party with spanish/romantic flair and lots of love to spread for their gaggle of out-of-towners joining the occasion. SO fun, right? So fun. Many thanks to Dave Richards for these super hot engagement photos and even more thanks knowing there’s lots more to come in the future, from their wedding!!
E&N met at Elena’s twin sister’s wedding. Yep. She was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman- visiting from the East Coast. Where Elena had just gotten accepted to grad school. Interesting, right? When the pair hit it off, he told her to call him. And then, when she got to her new home… she did. I love a chance well-taken!
You must- MUST- visit Dave’s Blog for more images of them. They’re just too cute.
My fave. I love the vastness and smallness of love here.
And of course, I love a good foliage-filled background!
Yay for August’s rapid approach. YAY for killer fun details. YAY for pops of color and spanish infusion. YAY for love and marriage.
