I am proud to say this shoot has been a long-awaited first feature for us in 2014! WE *loved* concepting the details and elements of this colorful shoot alongside of our fabulous partners over at Your Cloud Parade! The idea was to highlight all the amazing spaces at the Saguaro Hotel out in Palm Springs [and trust me, when you see the property in person you cannot help but smile and want to simultaneously paint your house every color imaginable… it just comes with the territory]. So, we crafted a party that was meant to celebrate color, and make you smile just as much as the hotel does when you’re there lounging in the pool [trust me, you smile whilst lounging… you have to].
And a quick preview of what you’ll find in the feature:
We did all the graphics in-house and wanted something that felt edgy/funky- still fitting the feel of the wedding day [I love a good classic theme brought up to speed through detail, style and color]. These tote bags that Wedding Chicks supplied us with fit the bill perfectly!
A little “pre ceremony” snack box is always a favorite detail. These came bursting with cool refreshing drinks, pull-out ribbon streamers and plexiglass programs in multiple, delicious colors. Naturally, adorable.
Rotating monochromatic place settings [charger, napkin, menu card, and cushion] with clear chairs and…. a vinyl table cuff. I nearly died over that color splash detail! And one for the road: the full bridal party. I cannot emphasize enough how much I LOVE styling bridal parties. These lace overlay skirts were custom made for the shoot. And I mean, really you guys. That’s all I can say about that.
Here’s the full feature, so check it out and see more! And be sure to visit Your Cloud Parade if you’re looking to bring some creative detail elements to your big day, too!
As always, I am humbled and thankful for the continual support of my creativity that this industry offers me. Thrilled to continue doing what I love, year after year.
Color me surprised when I stumbled across this article that features Vera Wang’s 2014 Bridal Collection. I was in shock and awe and pure elation when I saw them all. You see, her theme color seems to be PINK! Shades of rose, coral and warm pink. And I am ON board! Where are my gals that want non-traditional dresses at?! Hit up a Vera salon and try some on!!
Whether you’re excited by the color tones or not [as I’m sure they’re offered in muted shades of white and ivory], you must admit that the silhouettes are just as daring, flattering and gorgeous as Ms. Vera has come to be known for. I personally would squeal to see these in person!
Here’s to showing your own true colors today!!
For some reason [aside from the fact that the bride and groom, now seasoned marriage pros, are beyond words adorable], this wedding continues to get featured and re-featured still years later. Irene and Aaron tied the knot back in 2011 and we still get to share pictures of their wonderful day! They wed at the gorgeous Saddlerock Ranch up in Malibu, with a modern-meets-natural feel that focused on saturated POP colors against the wooded backdrop. Truly, a favorite [and not just for the late night customized beer pong tables that Irene had us create as a surprise for her groom]- a favorite night, a favorite couple, a favorite love story. Featurable and shareable for decades to come. Go take a sneak peek over at My Inspired Wedding and give big sighs as you wipe the tears away. Thanks, as always to Ian Grant Photography for the images and for getting them out there so well! Here’s a few snaps from the feature….
We were honored to do this couple’s floral design along with event design and [although we’ve retired floral services for the foreseeable future] absolutely adore how amazing the turnout was! Possibly my favorite bright, popping bridal bouquet ever composed! So glad the rest of the internet seems to be enjoying their fairytale, too!
Yay! I am so so so honored [to say the least] that our modern art gallery vow renewal photoshoot made it into the Favorite Wedding Details of 2013 from the team over at Green Wedding Shoes! I loved the shoot and it’s thrilling to know that others do, too!! Jump on over to their post to see the rest of the details that they picked, or you can just go visit the Green Wedding Shoes feature instead and see ALL of the lovelies that Jasmine Star captured for us.
And, even though this feature was focusing on the details, the model family [who are near and dear friends] are just TOO cute not to show off- so here’s a little ode to Jesse and Renae!!
Thanks again for all the love we continue to feel. We are thankful, we are grateful, we are humbled.
