I love seeing the world from a different point of view for a brief moment. And when I’m able to, I’m full of thanks and awe and wonder. And sometimes, you just gotta write it down. So, naturally, these ‘everyday cards’ by Allison-Kate Stationary were an easy choice. Alli and I go way, way back and it’s great to see her truly pursuing what she loves now more fully than she ever has before. Plus, they’re kinda funny too!!

Total fave:

Nothing is more relatable than having a human moment with someone when admitting that life isn’t always perfect and sometimes you just gotta deal with it. But let’s not forget the good stuff, too…

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Go check out the facebook fan page for more!

Here’s to feeling real today with someone by your side!!

Note to add: Friday Lovely posts are always, 100% the opinion of myself and the In The Now team. They’re never sponsored or slanted in any way or for any reason. We keep it genuine here. Just thought you should know, fo sho.

xoxo,

As we’re almost ready to talk about new year’s [and I repeat... almost- I'm just not ready yet], I had to share with you a beautiful piece of delicate art brought to you by the talented couple of Luna Photo. I’ve loved Paula and Mike since working with them two years back and have always admired their seemingly effortless photographic genius that they constantly are putting out. This picture is just no exception.

I adore the hidden hearts more than anything. And I adore a lot of things, so that’s saying a lot. If you aren’t familiar with Luna Photo, I’d suggest acquainting yourself and quickly. They’re exceptional!!

These cut glass votive holders are simply the bee’s knees in my eyes. Not only are they extra tall [at 3.5", such a cute and elegant height] but their modern shape is accented with all of the old world classic charm expected at weddings or family gatherings of any importance. Plus, since their height is substantial, it should be a breeze to past most city’s fire codes! Pretty and functional? Double bonus!!

Thanks, as always, to Jamali Garden for being my everyday source of inspiration for design and decor! Hope these inspired you to stay on the cutting edge of things this holiday season!! :)

xoxo,

Okay so, this is a 50/50 thing right here. 50% me being “in trouble” with myself for not updating that crucial sidebar you see to your right to let you know that Candice [the lovely, lovely assistant that was with us for just over 1 year] has branched off to start her own video company with her husband. The other 50% is me literally glowing with pride over how she’s capturing love stories these days.

Favorite moment caught: during the ceremony, the way the bride is looking at her groom so emphatically. Like she’s letting every single moment of reality sink in. It’s really magical to watch.

Hello, how can you not want a wedding video?? [Had to say it- you know I did]

Be sure to check out their new company, LunchPail Pictures and get in with them before they explode into something you’ll only wish you could have experienced. I have all the faith in the world in this pair- and the way they caught the moments in this wedding above, the real authentic love expressed, I know that I’m right to believe!

xoxo,

Not your typically Tiffany either. That’s right- not Tiffany & Co. this time [though, let's be honest- who doesn't adore them??]; it’s Tiffany lamp inspiration that we’re delighted about today. Since my mom has always been such an avid Tiffany lamp advocate, it’s only natural that I gravitate to them for a semblance of home and the past. But this whole put-Tiffany-piping-on-a-cake thing just sends me to the moon and back. I cannot imagine creating this masterpiece, but I am so thankful that someone did!!

Another Maggie Austin home run in the cake department. And special thanks to Emily [a fellow lover of all things wedding and crafty deliciousness] for shoving this in my face [I'm always so thankful when people point out the brilliance that I end up too busy to notice- I need it!!].

Let your art shine today- whatever it may be!

xoxo,

Special thanks to my new friend in the industry Christa Rose for this little inspiration.

I’m always intrigued by architects. How they balance things properly, show their art, inspire others and design for themselves while pleasing the client. But these masterpieces- these timeless shapes and classy lines made into homes- by Robert Harvey Oshatz go way beyond what I could ever dream up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an outta-the-box type of gal, however I don’t think there is even a way to explain the beauty that is created when I look at these. Take the Fennell Residence:

Or the Mt. Crested Butte residence:

I can only dream of what it’s like to actually inhabit one of these places [and keep in mind, all of Oshatz's designs are organic and sustainable]. But I do dream about it.

Be inspired today by odd lines in interesting places. By combining the unexpected and making something more unique than the world expects of you. It’s definitely liberating and sometimes, will even make you talked about for years to come!

Say what you will about the quality of items from the college and newlywed shopper’s dream, Ikea, but this Swedish Ikea Cookbook will remind you as to why it became such an American sensation to begin with: the packaging.

These images from the cookbook are impeccable. They’re clean, nicely colored, perfectly aligned and hit me right where it counts. I could look at these all day long! Lines of straight, pretty sugar… boxes of milk [not even sure how they do that!], and more! Check here for more, but first love these, here, because I do:

Seriously, with the vanilla beans all lined up “just so”?? I am in LOVE. Appreciate the unexpected in today!!

xoxo,

How absolutely adorable is this little crafted paper from Paper Crave?? My research-friendly intern Kristen sent this over to me earlier this week just because she thought it was cute [which it is] and inspirational [which it is], and thus I’m sharing it with you here today!

I think these would make totally delightful save-the-date cards for two book lovers. Plus, it’s a good reminder for all of us who have been in a long-term committed [or marital- ME] relationship that sometimes we need to remember to check one another out still. Playful, whimsical, light-hearted fun. Divulge in some today and play tag or something!!

xoxo,
