Allow me to introduce the new Mr. & Mrs.!!! You may remember them from their gorgeous engagement session provided by the talented husband and wife team at Eight20 Photography that Amanda posted a few weeks ago Here. Nicky & Eric are so amazing, I can’t wait to see what they come up with for this wedding!

Erin and Adam have got to be one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met, and their wedding was probably also one of the smoothest events I’ve ever worked! This may be due to the fact that Erin is probably THE most organized bride I’ve ever met. I arrived at the event to find that Erin had provided Miriam and I both with folders (in her wedding color of red of course) filled with contract copies, layout instructions, timelines, and a contact list you wouldn’t believe! Every item was tucked neatly into a large plastic storage container, and of course contained a list of every item in it, and where each item should go. Now that’s my kinda bride!!! Talk about making a coordinator’s job easy!

Unfortunately this was one of the days that our team had to be seperated, since Amanda was busy working a different wedding this day, but Miriam was there to head up this event, with me by her side. The ceremony was held at the United University Church on the USC campus. They had these gorgeous drapes going down both sides of the church, and were able to change them out to red to match Erin’s colors!

All of the amazing florals for this event were provided by the talented Shirvan Design. Check out those Manzanita trees!!

All of Erin’s paper products were so stinking cute! Here’s her programs for the ceremony.

The reception was held at the City Club on Bunker Hill in Los Angeles. The Club is on the top (54th) floor of the building, so the views were to die for! We’re talking so high, it literally made your ears pop taking the elevator ride up there! You can see the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, & even Dodger Stadium out it’s floor to ceiling windows!

Erin and Adam provided several photos for a heritage table that were all placed in stunningly vibrant red frames .

Their place card setup.

Erin had us hang the cutest little red mini lanterns from the Manzanita branches.

The couple’s initials and the cutest little suitcase (which served as their card holder), were setup on the gift table.

The cocktail hour was held inside the room, and featured these simple table arrangements that were so perfect.

Here’s more of Erin’s cute paper products, and stunning floral arrangements.

So cute!!

Those gu-gu-gourgeous Manzanita trees were re-used next to Erin & Adam’s sweetheart table at the reception. I couldn’t believe that Art from Shirvan Design was able to transport these Giant things in one piece, and all on his Own! He literally carried these things in on his back like he was He-Man! Art, I am in awe of you. Anyone in the market for a florist with super human strength?

I didn’t get the best picture of Erin’s bouquet, but if you can’t tell, it had these beautiful red crystals in the center of each red rose. It was beyond perfection!

Grand entrance Time!!

Adam was being a good new husband and helped his wife look her best.

What the guests didn’t know was that Adam & Erin had hired the USC marching band to spice up the night! Adam is a graduate of USC and many of his family and friends shared his love for the school.

It was such a great surprise! You could literally hear the guests gasp in excitement as the band made it’s way around the corner.

Look at how happy Adam is. I believe this is what they call “Pleased as punch!”.

Now Erin & Adam did their order of events a little differently. The cake cutting came directly after dinner.

Cake provided by Hansen’s Cakes, decorated by Shervan Design.

They played nice.

And Then they had their first dance. I know, I know, cake cutting before the first dance?? What were we thinking? But surprisingly, I enjoyed the cake cutting being done so early. Since most people use this as a signal to their guests that it’s ok to go home, doing it as early as we did, actually took the focus off of that, and allowed people to just relax and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Erin’s simple, but beautiful toss bouquet.

It’s that time ladies, are you ready?!?

And straight into the garter toss. I love her face here.

And last but not least,a picture of Miriam with Erin at the end of the night.

So to Erin and Adam, thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us be a part of your day. It was evident from the moment that I stepped through the doors at the City Club, that you two had managed to affect every single person that you met. Every person I talked to was so completely enamored with you two that they just gushed about how great you were. They all went above and beyond to do the best job that they could for you that day. It was an honor to be a part of your world if only for a moment. May your new life together be so full of love and happiness that you don’t know what to do with yourselves!

~~ Alicia

I cannot BELIEVE how long I’ve waited to blog these pictures. But, alas, my time as gotten away from me. With no further adieu, here are some pictures from Cyn and Der’s LOVELY wedding this past weekend. Full of love, friendship, and laughter- this wedding was just PERFECT for what it was. Cynthia- I’m talking to you- remember this and nothing else!! :)

The ceremony:

img_3561.jpg

img_3566.jpg

img_3570.jpg

And only the ceremony [notice Cynthia's father gave his nod to their home state of Montana by dawning his cowboy hat!]

img_3572.jpg

I love that she was walked in by both of her parents!

img_3582.jpg

img_3592.jpg

For their sand ceremony, they had a unique twist! As the guests came in, they scooped sand from a bowl into a vase and then the vase was brought up for the ceremony. The sand of their friends and family represented the foundation of their love and lives!

Altadena Town & Country Club provided the GORGEOUS backdrop for our day! Too bad they don’t have cell service there!! :)

img_3595.jpg

C & D’s guest book was epic!! Since Cynthia’s maid of honor was none other than the fantabulous Susan Yee [En Pointe Photography], and her photographer was the lovely and super talented Stephanie Williams, she had a plethora of photos to choose from for her photo guest book! The images were stunning… I cannot WAIT to see the moments Stephanie and her husband Isaac captured from the wedding!

img_3599.jpg

Onto the reception details! Holy cow, all of these escort cards were hand-crafted by Cynth and I love her for it!!

img_3616.jpg

img_3619.jpg

Cynthia had a bit of a stressful morning that ALMOST turned into a stressful afternoon- but we stopped that. Here we are, laughing at cheese. Isn’t cheese SO funny?

img_3622.jpg

My beautiful bride!!!

img_3629.jpg

I’m so blessed by my business!

img_3640.jpg

I wish I could have gotten more shots of the assorted fans that Cynth bought, like above. We placed one on each chair for every guest and they were SNAPPED up after the ceremony! Apparently they were a hit- and all unique. I loved the eclectic feel, but still keeping it cultural!

Another snap of the fab guest book:

img_3642.jpg

My super simple programs:

img_3647.jpg

[Thanks to husband Josh for the pictures- lately I'd be lost without him at my events!!]

Looooved the cake!

This draping comes with the room:

img_3699.jpg

Swoooon! Onto the nightly activities!

img_3713.jpg

img_3726.jpg

I know that some of my pictures are blurry, but I cannot HELP but love them. They express raw emotion that is captured at the click of a button. Sometimes I WISH I had the initiative to really learn photography… but it’s not for me. I’m doing just what I’m supposed to be- being touched by the moments!

img_3747.jpg

img_3752.jpg

Loved the way she was holding his arm, holding her…

img_3755.jpg

And a few words from our wedding party:

img_3790.jpg

Note Cynthia is dawning dress #2!!

Pre-cutting of the gorgeous cake:

And a quick shot of their favors, which were mini candles with “double happiness” on them:

Cake time!

img_3831.jpg

img_3840.jpg

img_3836.jpg

img_3840.jpg

Yes, it was hard for them to get a piece of cake out. The slice they DID manage to haul out was MONDO!!!

img_3844.jpg

[And so this face was appropriate!]

And of course my FAVORITE shot of the night:

img_4074.jpg

xoxo! I’m so biased. All in all, the day was truly surrounded with love and support from friends and family. I felt such a connection with this couple and this wedding, it was an honor to be there on this important day!

C & D: you know you rule. You know I know you rule. You know I know you know…. you get it. I told you both on the day of but I’ll state it here again: you are the perfect example of savoring the meaning and the moment. When things were beyond stressful and personal, you took deep breaths and remembered why you were there to begin with! I loved that about you, Cyn! I’ll never forget the smile that came on your face when you rounded that corner to head down the aisle to your husband. It was the stuff of movies!! Thanks for inspiring me to love recklessly and with intent!

POSTED BY Amanda

I came up with this color scheme when I was initially inspired by my favorite, the Versailles chair. I’ve mentioned it before on this blog but really, in every color it comes in, it’s incredible! I hope that in 5 years it’s just as popular and available as the Chiavari is and frankly I’d suggest it twice as much!! ANYWAY, back to my point… oh yeah, so, the deep burgundy color of the chairs prompted me to pair it with this subtle “french” blue [at least that's why I call it]. Adding a muted ivory to the pallet was the icing on the cake! I wanted to keep the table itself warm, simple, and inviting. Kristin from The Treasured Petal helped uphold this by creating individual mini-bouquets for each place setting, and using a cake stand I provided her with, arranged an overside bouquet that seemed to burst off of the table!

2418539199_efa7354836_o.jpg

Wrapped with a thick, satin sash to match, and we’re good to go! I love the way the deep cranberry flowers stand out in all of our pictures! The napkins and table runner were made by me. I fell in LOVE with the runner material and immediately knew what my vision was for this puppy! I actually used serving platters as plates, which gave this unique oblong shape and fit perfectly to showcase the popping blue napkin and the mini-bouquet for each guest. The plates had a gorgeous beaded border [not sure if the pictures show this] as well as the cake stand. Subtle-y gorgeous, as I tend to love! All of our rentals were provided by Signature, and our base linens were provided by EDSL. A big shout out to my girl Jonilyn for the “fab phots” as always. [Hmm... I like that term. Maybe it'll be a new one for me... fab phots!!]. Here’s some up close and personal detail shots to get you in the VIBE of this luscious table setting:

2419354450_10ac40d3a2_o.jpg

YAY! I love it. And remember, you can always go and see ALL of the table sets on my website under the Tabletop Gallery! Here at ITN, we have a BUSY week ahead, so stay tuned!!

I must say this first and foremost: having a team of people that I work with, whom I can send out in full confidence and believe in 100% is the BEST feeling in the world! My assistants ROCK so hard! That being said, Janet contacted me a while back, being a friend of Krystin’s and after INSISTING that Janet contact me… I got an email! Since Caroline had already pinned me down for the date, and Janet had explained that her event was a reception-only, mellow affair, my team agreed to take it on for her and split ourselves up that day. I’m SO glad we did!

Meeting with Shawn and Janet for the first time, we all instantly connected. It’s one of those feelings you get from people you just know that you should know in life I was SO sad to not be at their reception and I’m completely living vicariously through the pictures that Alicia [my assistant who ran the event] provided me with. SO, to you two- YAY. Your wedding in Mexico was FAB. Your American-style reception was GORGE. Just what can your actual marriage do to top all of this?? I’m confident yours will be the gift that keeps on giving!! Now, onto the pics!

img_8933.jpg

Since J & S got married in June, they had the opportunity to display and use so many of their drool-worthy wedding photos at their party. Here’s one, in a frame and matte to sign on!

img_8937.jpg

Oh did I mention that Janet is detail-oriented. All of her printed materials have me swooning! I loove them! Signature drink: Sangria. Love it!!

img_8939.jpg

A few more pics around The Rococo Room, which provided a great warm, relaxed atmosphere for this intimate party of friends!

img_8940.jpg

Alicia captioned this picture so perfectly, noting that these little branches with the mirrors on them only kept looking better the later it got, as the mirrors reflected the candle light below!

img_8944.jpg

Kim Chi provided these darling little arrangements for all of our cocktail tables, as well as the two larger arrangements and a few for the bar as well! They kept with the aqua and red theme alright!!

img_8948.jpg

I LOVE Janet and all of her quirky-ness! She provided us with these great random and funky pillows to put all over the lounge furniture [as we kept the event primarily lounge-y and thus set the tone for the evening with such...] You’ll continue to see pops of her personality throughout the blog!

img_8950.jpg

A first time vendor for us, Modern Chair Rental hooked us up BIG time in providing two extra funky and fun chairs for us in the downstairs area. We were more than pleased with their products and service!!

img_8951.jpg

img_8953.jpg

Of course, the ever-popular Red Cheese gave the guests a TON of fun!

img_8954.jpg

In the corner, you can see the craft station that Janet put together for us to set up. She used this interactive guest book for her guests to leave their comments! I love that she tied in the pictures, and the detailing on this “station” was perfect!!

img_8956.jpg

I love that she gave this warning in advance:

img_8963.jpg

[Talk about knowing your friends and family!!] Their cake, from pictures, was TO. DIE. FOR.

img_8968.jpg

img_8970.jpg

Complete with fondant bows, seriously… in aqua and red, what more could a girl ask for!!

img_8971.jpg

img_8973.jpg

This was a 2-story event! The Rococo has an amazing mezzanine room that overlooks the downstairs main event area. We used this as a sort of “quiet lounge” and kept a slideshow of pics [wedding pics and personal pics] from this gorgeous couple running all night long!

img_8974.jpg

img_8975.jpg

More funky pillows!

img_8977.jpg

img_8979.jpg

img_8982.jpg

Full view of downstairs:

img_8983.jpg

img_8986.jpg

LOVED this shot of this amazing red wall- way to fit the theme!!

img_8990.jpg

A view back upstairs:

img_8992.jpg

img_8993.jpg

img_9013.jpg

Their signature “white sangria”

img_9042.jpg

And of course, what we’ve all been waiting for…the stars of our event!!!

img_9065.jpg

I’ll be honest… when I initially saw these pics, I felt a bit defeated. Mainly because at the meeting, Janet, Shawn, Alicia and myself had a friendly discussion about Janet’s right to wear her wedding dress again [a la Gwen Stefani and her American/London receptions!!]. The issue was still up in the air when we left, but her dress fit her like a GLOVE and I was dying to see her in it. But the more I saw these pics, the more I fell in love with the dress she DID wear! The dress, the hair piece, the shoes… ugh! She pops right off the page in these pics!!

img_9069.jpg

Just before their big Grand Re-Entrance [well, remember, they did this once before in Mexico!!]

img_9070.jpg

They got introduced to the Rocky theme… can you tell??

img_9072.jpg

img_9073.jpg

And some words from Shawn, our dashing HUSBAND:

img_9078.jpg

By the time they made their perfectly late arrival, this thing was full up!

img_9087.jpg

Since heavy appetizers and dancing was the plan for the evening, we didn’t waste too much time before cutting the cake and getting our dessert-fest on!

img_9118.jpg

img_9122.jpg

img_9125.jpg

[See these pictures? This proves that Alicia is MUCH more polite than I and will allow your guests to walk in front of her. Whereas I will throw elbows. Don't test me- I'll get my good angle for pictures!!]

img_9126.jpg

Hey, these pictures are TOTALLY good enough for me! Especially to tide me over until the REAL thing, courtesy of Thao Vu pops up online!!

img_9133.jpg

This picture above gives a good sum of Janet, Shawn, and their marriage!

img_9135.jpg

…and, not to toot my own horn or anything but I must train ‘em well because having Alicia talk them through that cake cutting led to this BEAUTIFULLY perfect slice of cake! Man alive, that was one good cut!!

Shawn’s mom, upstairs watching the slideshow:

img_9142.jpg

I LOVE that this crowd didn’t hesitate to participate in the guest book and photo booth!

img_9151.jpg

img_9158.jpg

Seriously, could a person rock those red shoes more than she did??

After the cake was being sliced for guests, Alicia and Maria [the assistant to the assistant... sounding a bit like The Office, aren't I??] put together this amazing candy buffet for the guests to grab at! It was hardly up for five minutes before the guests caught on and devoured it! EVERYONE loves a good candy buffet!!

img_9177.jpg

Side note: I think Shawn was most excited about the skittles more than anything else. Maybe even more than the 2nd reception itself! In our meeting, I think we ended up talking about skittles at least 3 times!! A man knows his favorite candy, right??

img_9183.jpg

img_9189_2.jpg

img_9190_2.jpg

img_9192.jpg

img_9195.jpg

img_9197.jpg

img_9198.jpg

The girls, having fun:

img_9201.jpg

And lastly, the cute little graphic that made it’s way into the hearts of ALL of their guests- the to go containers for the candy buffet:

img_9208.jpg

SO great! Seriously.. this event had a little bit of everything rolled into one! From formal to laid back, innovative to traditional, beautiful and silly… it was great! I know I speak for Alicia as well when I say we were SO honored to work with you two and be a part of this amazing celebration! It’s a great time in your lives, and we’re lucky to spend it with you!

That being said, a few of my favorites that I edited up real quick to make even pretty-er-er:

Newly-weds: Lea and Ryan!

POSTED BY Amanda

Last weekend I had the pleasure of driving to Lea’s parent’s home up near Ventura, Ca. This private estate was the backdrop for our event and it worked out perfect for this intimate “destination” affair. Lea and Ryan both live in Seattle, along with about half of the guests who flew in to be with them on their day. Since Lea was planning from afar, we got to pass lots of ideas back and forth via email and phone. Our relationship quickly blossomed into a friendship and being there on her day was SO special to me, to see her tucked into Ryan’s arms. But, enough said already!!

I swung by the salon where Lea was prepping before we headed to the house. Who knew picking eye makeup could be so difficult?

img_0823.jpg

This gazebo in her parent’s yard worked perfectly for us!

img_0826.jpg

img_0828.jpg

img_0830.jpg

img_0832.jpg

[These program fans were whipped up by yours truly. wink!] Speaking of…

img_0837.jpg

img_0843.jpg

These simple submerged silk orchid vases lined the entire patio handrail. They were the perfect decor!

img_0847.jpg

The toss bouquet was the same as her bridesmaids.

img_0852.jpg

Ryan walking his mom and step-mom down…

img_0862.jpg

Ryan’s daughter, Ashlyn, acted as a jr. bridesmaid and walked the flower girls down the aisle.

img_0874.jpg

img_0881.jpg

img_0890.jpg

img_0892.jpg

The officiant actually went into the crowd and asked people to say a few words.

img_0896.jpg

img_0901.jpg

Which got emotional…

img_0911.jpg

img_0946.jpg

Ryan’s mom sang a special song to the couple during the ceremony:

img_0961.jpg

img_0967.jpg

img_0972.jpg

YAY!

I looooved the lanterns which were strung like an “x” over the dance floor!

If you can’t tell, the later it got, the more gorgeous…

The grand entrance led to the entire bridal party shakin’ it on the dance floor…

Ryan took his daughter Ashlyn for a spin on the floor, too!

img_1132.jpg

img_1135.jpg

Lea and Ryan got custom Jones Soda bottles as favors. We set up a table of them [Root Beer, Cream Soda, and Strawberry Lime to stick with the color scheme] and they were a HUGE hit! And delicious!!

img_1162.jpg

***NOTE about the below picture: Josh took this. The bottles are ALL facing the same way, as is my anal personality. This picture actually bugs me because it appears they are not, but this is taken from the side of the table so he turned ONE only towards him. There. I feel better.

img_1164.jpg

img_1167.jpg

img_1169.jpg

img_1170.jpg

There’s me, blowing out the tealight that was like kinda thrown into that vase by somebody. I just move some candles over to light up the bottles instead!

Hey look, FAVORS!

img_1205.jpg

img_1209.jpg

img_1210.jpg

Ryan doesn’t mind at all [of course!!]

img_1211.jpg

LOVED this one:

img_1218.jpg

I know, I know, I know. MISSED the bouquet, MISSED the garter [it was really dark out, alright!!], but I did get one semi-sweet shot of Lea and Ryan leaving by sparkler-light:

img_1242.jpg

Special thanks to Jered Scott for coming out to second shoot and staying the whole night! And to Cat in the Kitchen [their catering company] and Sweet Peas Floral Design- neither of which I can find websites for!!! Regardless- we had a GREAT night that was full of fun, family and love. Lea- it was a true delight to be a part of this important time in you and Ryan’s lives! I can’t wait to see pictures of the house, the honeymoon, and of course the WEDDING!!!

I met Susan last year and we instantly hit it off! When I found out she was a Villa bride, I got even MORE excited because of how much I love working with the staff there. I knew that this was an event built for smoothness and beauty.

Over the past several months, Susan passed several ideas through me, and in doing so, I felt like I really became a PART of her wedding! That being said, I wish I had more pictures to show for it!!! But, I don’t. Sad face! Not even a single ceremony shot!!!

But, I did get to see her “work it”:

img_7976.jpg

And, she knew it…

img_7977.jpg

Susan supplied her guest’s with my FAVORITE beverages, and enjoyed one herself between the ceremony and photos…

Some belated ceremony decor pictures. They tied the knot at the Pine Wind Garden in Torrance.

Love it! Their engagement session was compliments of their photographer, Youkeun, ofYo Photography. I cannot WAIT until their wedding teasers are up! I’m depending on you, Yo!!

Onto The Villa!

I LOVED this idea, with their hand-written, personalized vows:

Gorgeous, right??

img_8015.jpg

img_8018.jpg

Impeccable, as always…

img_8020.jpg

img_8026.jpg

As you can see, the sweetheart table was delicious!

LOVED the unique “stand” they used. So cute!!

Another shot of the guest book:

img_8122.jpg

And, lastly [sadly], one of Susan’s amazing all-orchid bouquet:

img_8128.jpg

I know, I know. No ceremony pics, no cake cutting pics… what a slacker I am! BUT- that does mean that when we FINALLY get to see Yo’s pictures, it will be that much more exciting and amazing!

Susan and Eddie- you two are so fun, so full of life and joy! I’m glad that on your day, you were determined to enjoy it! It really made the difference! I loved every moment that I got to spend with you, and can’t wait to relive each of them through photos!!!

This weekend was a whirlwind but seriously sooo amazing! The lovely Laura was such a pleasure to work with! I remember our first meeting with her and Ryan, Ryan cooked us steak and we all sat around getting to know one another over dinner! It was such a delight. Now, onto their wedding day! Laura, being the amazingly fabulously talented girl that she is, had some labor intensive details, and I love her for it. But, a picture is worth a thousand words, so…

I had the pleasure of working with two AMAZING photogs on this day. Zenia and Jonilyn- what a force to be reckoned with! I cannot WAIT for the pro pics!!

Oh Laura- even her vendor payment envelopes matched the event!

Hi Jen!

img_7602.jpg

Florals were provided by Yamaguchi Flowers [which I'm not sure of the website for]. They were incredible!

Their home-made margaritas were a HUGE hit!

img_7626.jpg

Laura and Ryan set up their bars ideally for bringing in their own alcohol. As you can see by their bar menus, they set up one bar with mexican drinks, and one with what they affectionately coined “gringo drinks”!

The rope that you see in front of the cake is a VERY important symbol to Laura and Ryan. It’s actually Laura’s grandparent’s lazo, which is a catholic/mexican ceremony tradition. Since Laura’s grandfather passed away last month, the sentiment was very important to the couple!

Some photos of my fab photog buds getting the goods!

The reception just kept getting more beautiful and ambient as the night went on! It was amazing and I loved it!! Laura and Ryan had a grand farwell complete with sparklers all the way to Ryan’s classic Chevy Malibu [that's right, right Ryan? Don't kill me if it's wrong!]. It was seriously beautiful! L & R- you two are the most fun loving, easy going couple to be around! I wish the day could have lasted forever- but Laura I’m sure by the end you were ready to get out of that va-va-va-voooom dress of yours!! Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

I know, I know… I put off blogging this! But, Elaine and Brian tied the knot last weekend and it was a day full of love, life, and FUN. The friends and family that surrounded their day were so willing to be involved, and so ready to celebrate.

But, let’s let the photos do the talking…

When I arrived at the hotel, the girls were just getting ready to leave for the ceremony [and I was, too!]

Their lovely programs:

Church decor:

The floral details were unique and gorgeous! Elaine really let Devynn’s Garden, her florist, have reign in their designs. She wanted something with a tropical flare, and something a bit more outside of the box. Devynn’s Garden took it from there and just WAIT until you see her centerpices!!! I always tell my clients to trust the professionals with what they do best- Elaine’s wedding is a perfect example!

Stained glass windows in the church were amazing!

Elaine arrived and left in this gorgeous Rolls Royce [though, when she left, she took a husband with her!!]:

Elaine, always a courteous one, greeting her guests BEFORE the ceremony!

Their wonderful harpist, Elizabeth Styffe:

You may not be able to tell, but Brian is doing a pre-ceremony dance right here. It consisted of at least a solid 30 seconds of “air boxing”, Rocky style:
