I’m just not sure I could love it any more than I currently do. My heart is just moved by seeing these two “get married” all over again [mistake in the vows and all]. Video keepsakes like this are moments frozen in time. Moments that are here to warm your heart for years to come. Moments that your kids can look back on and see you- in the flesh- way back when. I’m quite passionate about my stand on hiring a professional to shoot your wedding and edit it into a little masterpiece like this. And Nick Bowser of Crafthouse Productions makes it an easy argument. Listen to me, y’all. Listen! And then watch…

Lovingly yours- today and always…

Thanks to Dave Richards, there are many more of these headed our way in the near future.

I know, you can’t even wait. And neither can I. Yay for love!

This is the first ever Friday Lovely that isn’t just an image. It’s a whole few minutes worth of eye-pleasing goodness. I absolutely, 100% adore this video of Max and Margaux’s wedding from Sharkpig. Let’s say I’m posting this in honor of working with Max next month. But really… how could I not? I couldn’t keep this fantastic feeling from you all. It needs to be shared. The infection needs to spread. Viva La Wedding Video! And Viva Love!

Hope this lovely adds a spring into your Friday night step!

How cute are my clients you guys? Seriously though…. how cute are they?? It makes me love my job even more ferociously when I meet and book clients like Emily and Richard. They’re just some of the coolest, most down-to-earth, creative, fun-loving people that everyone wants to be. And they show it. Like when Max Wanger took their engagement photos. Like this:

And just to tip the cute scale even more onto the sickening side…

Oh Em and Rich! I love your love. You two are gonna have the raddest wedding this side of 2011! I can’t wait to share it with you.

Now, this is a controversial one. Why, you may ask? Well, because although I pulled this extremely, over-the-top, gorgeously detailed ceremony shot from Green Wedding Shoes

…it’s actually more [for me] about the designer: Jesi Haack. And don’t you know the first rule of fight club- I mean… event design? It’s that you don’t talk about your competition. Especially not on your blog. And you for sure don’t befriend them.

But I haven’t ever been much for rules. So, I did. And I am. And I did. Jesi is extremely talented, creative, whimsical, and hard-working. All of the attributes shown here, embodied in this image. And I’m thankful to rub elbows with people of that caliber. So, yeah. We’re friends. It’s just the way we roll.

Maybe this weekend should be about making new, controversial friends for you! Smile at someone unsuspecting and unprompted this Friday. Maybe you can make theirs as lovely as Jesi made mine!

Well there aren’t enough minutes in today [particularly] but I just couldn’t wait to share a snip with you. The lovely Therese and Jim and their gorgeously love-filled wedding celebration has been blogged by Amelia Lyon! And guess what? The pictures are even more fantastic than I remember them to be from their same-day slideshow.

They’re just magically dreamy deliciousness. Really! Like 100%. SO, for now…

Just know that the hotness is on it’s way.

How much are you loving all of these little videos I’ve been posting lately?? I know that I absolutely ADORE seeing my clients in live-action, and it’s always such an emotional connection for me to remember the details of their wedding after the fact. Therese and Jim are no different. I got to work with Therese so closely over the year or so prior to their wedding, and I have nothing but glowing memories of perfection from their wedding day. Seeing what Daniel Boswell of Imagique put together for them, as a same-day edit video, brings me back so vividly to their nuptials from their Santa Monica wedding. Plus, well, the bride’s a knock-out! Just look at that gorgeous, lioness mane of hair! So jealous!! Enjoy the video and hang on tight for images from Amelia Lyon in the future!!

Let your love grow today!

Hello my dear lovely readers. Are you ready for what I’m about to tell you or WHAT?? Well, prep yourself…. we’re having a designer swap meet!! Whatever, you may ask, do I mean by that? I mean that In The Now [in conjunction with a handful of other painfully fabulous So Cal event designers] is selling off gently used goods swap-meet style to be snapped up by brides and friends alike, for their own weddings. It’s just such a brilliant idea… I can’t even handle it! The event will take place at the NOW studios [see flyer for address] and we are just thrilled with the participants involved!

Designers On-Board So Far:
1. In The Now
2. Events of Love and Splendor
3. Joyful Weddings
4. Jesi Haack
5. Simply Modern Weddings
6. The Treasured Petal
7. JL Designs

*And if you’re a designer who thinks you have a great “hand made” or “hand-me-down” that could be of use to the next generation of brides, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly for a booth space [space is quite limited at this point, as we want this fun and intimate and exclusive].

Please sign up for a ticket so that we know you’re coming! Would love to see lots of bright, smiling and familiar faces there [so past clients, bring new engaged or yet-to-be engaged friends!]. This could work well for anyone getting married, buying a new home, or just looking for some savvy buys to infuse some style into everyday life! We want *you* to have the trends you’ve seen on blogs, magazines… everywhere- come right to ya!

xoxo,

A.
