Pro Pics: Shelley & Tony

POSTED BY Alicia

Boy are you all in for a treat today! I have been DYING to share these images with you guys. They are drop dead, hold on to your nickers Ga-orgeous! I knew when I saw the work of Amy & Maurice, aka The Theorie, on their website that they did amazing work, but it’s still always a “hold your breath” kind of moment until you finally see the finished product of all the pictures that they shot on your day. And wow, were these so much better than I was ever expecting! Simply amazing! A perfect capture of Shelley & Tony and all of their special little details on their wedding day.

The wedding was held at a private estate in Trabuco Canyon, compliments of the bride’s Uncle.
He built this bridge just for them, since the prvious one had been washed away by a storm.

The flowers were all provided by the amazing Carissa of JL Designs.

03
I mean come on, anyone who can make a box of boutonnieres look THAT good, has got to be a great florist, right??

A few pics of the bride & groom, and their wedding party.

The ceremony featured hanging vases filled with pink roses & peonies, and pink petals covering the aisle floor.

We added yellow ties around each chair, for a nice big POP of color!

The grounds of this home had an endless supply of amazing photo opportunities. It was such a perfect setting.

Shelley’s Uncle has a collection of classic cars that he has donated to Auto Museums over the years. Lucky for us, they are all so grateful for the donations, that they let him take them out whenever he wants for his person use. Score for us!! These bad boys make for great pictures!

The cocktail hour featured small square vases wrapped in a funky mod fabric that we found in the L.A. Fabric District, and single pink peonies in each one.

23

24

We made use of the beautiful oak tree in the middle of our cocktail hour space, by hanging varying sizes of white paper lanterns throughout the entire tree.

A couple more shots of Carissa’s beautiful creations…

I absolutely adored these vases that Carissa provided for the place card table.

29

Big puffy peonies just make me swoon…

30

And on to the reception details!

33

34

I loved how Carissa made it seem like these tulips were growing out of the cake stand. So amazing.

35

The guest tables featured small groups of pink tulips, arranged in lot of different funky white vases provided by Carissa.

38

I couldn’t decide which ring shot I liked the most, so I just included them both. ;)

39

40

Shelley hand crafted these super cute cootie-catchers that served as their menus. They were absolutely adorable.

41

42

43

And last, but not least, the scrumptious cookie buffet that replaced the cake later that night.

Thank you once again to the fabulous vendor line-up that made this event such a success. I couldn’t have done it without you:

I can’t say these two are nearly-weds because they were married back in May, but when I saw the photos that they took the day before their nuptials, my jaw DROPPED. I knew they were good- we’ve talked about them. But, THIS good??? No clue.

Mandy and Jordan knew that they wanted some type of “engagment” session, but really, they wanted it to be more fun, quirky, and high-fashion then they did lovey dovey. And their photographer, [who flew out from the midwest to shoot their wedding] Ryan Russell was the perfect fit.

The day before their wedding- yes, they DAY before- they went out with him to shoot these bad boys. I am crazy for the vintage feel. Crazy for the styling [all done by M&J, and their friends], and crazy for this couple. Essentially, I’m kookoo for cocoa puffs.

4957_94953861830_645791830_2479907_5704279_n

VERY personality heavy in this one:

The closest we’ll get to schmoopy:

These next two are so gorgeously 70’s-esque!!

This one reminds me of Austin Powers and the femme-bots, for some reason. I looove that’s she’s pushing him away and being so coquette!!

Even THISCLOSE to a wardrobe malfunction, Mandy keeps her cool- this picture is epic:

The theme of the shoot rolled into this photo, awkwardly gorgeous:

Absolutely loooooove the feel of this one down here…

like an old rat pack photo. UGH!

This old theatre provided the perfect back drop, in the heart of downtown Oceanside!

Hands down, my favorite:

I’m pretty sure that Ryan shoots 100% in film, which is what really gives these photos their character. I’m so so SO looking forward to seeing the shots he grabbed on the day of the wedding, too! But, seriously, how is THAT for a unique and fun engagement session??

Hope you’re having a better day than I am- my computer gave me the sad face last night, so it’s into the Apple store I go! Wish me luck!!

It’s a busy, bustling weekend for the team at ITN. We have 3 weddings Saturday- yep, 3! That’s the max our little team can handle and to be quite honest, I am totally longing to clone myself so that I could be everywhere with every couple! We have theeee best clients that the world has to offer. I’m convinced! And Karri and Doug, well… they’re no exception!

Karri contacted me back in August of last year. Maybe even before that. We talked on the phone. Loved each other. And then, I never heard from her. Until 4 weeks ago. She called, randomly, out of the blue. I had her number saved in my phone, randomly, out of the blue [because who plugs someone INTO their cell phone who isn't yet a client?]. She was convinced I was already booked. I wasn’t! It was MEANT TO BE. Right? Right! Since then, it’s been a whirlwind romance full of in-person hugs, conference call meetings and site walk throughs. This amazing couple is getting married at the consistently-amazing Villa Del Sol D’Oro [a venue I've been dying to work] and I am thrilled!! The colors: olive, platinum/silver, mossy green, and white. Perfect for the tuscan-style backdrop of the Villa! Okay, I’m gabbing on and on… here are the pics:

hein6.jpg

Tell me that the color aqua doesn’t look incredible on her skin. You can’t. Because it does!

hein7.jpg

Nicky @ Eight 20 Photography took these stunners and although I won’t be working with her on their big day, I am happy to report that they’re in the safe, wonderful hands of Jordana Hazel this Saturday! My favorite, 100% convinced, is this image that the team of Eight 20 snagged:

hein4.jpg

THAT my dears is why I live, breathe, and stress the way I daily do.

Ugh I love love! Lots of stuff coming out in the next few days, weeks, months… times they are a-changin’, and we are changin’ right along with ‘em. Rolling with the punches, going with the flow… doing the bull dance.

Cross something off of your to-do list tonight. Even if it’s a smallie errand, it’ll make you feel great!

xoxo,

A.

I couldn’t help myself. It seems like everyone in the “industry” is talking about it. That’s right, Utterly Engaged. The newest wedding e-zine to hit the web. And it’s fabulous.

This shot is pulled from Summer, the author of Grey Likes Weddings, who did the floral arrangements and styling for it. And it’s fabulous. Just like her blog. Just like her. If this isn’t a LOVELY way to end a work week, I don’t know what is.

The e-zine is FREE to all, so go check it out for much, much more LOVELY. I’ll bet that you won’t even remember like pre-e-zine. That’s just how delicious it is. I was flipping through it last night and literally said out loud “geez…. STUPID gorgeous”. Yep.

Hope you’re all ready for this weekend! I’ve packed mine with meetings and design projects and fun fun FUN stuff. Remember to love the life you’re living today! And if you don’t, MAKE it loveable.

xoxo,

A.

You’ve met them before. You just don’t know it.

See, I mentioned a little something something about how we [me, J&P] are cooking up something super-duper-extra-special for their invitation suite. Yep, you’ve guessed it… they’re the funsies that I alluded to. And no, I don’t know why they’re so cute. I just can’t HELP but attract the most darling couples!

Caroline Tran seriously, like, SERIOUSLY, outdid herself on these. I LOVE the casual vibe. I LOVE the settings. And of course, I LOVE the couple!

Told ya they were gorgeous! Did I mention that they’re tying the knot at one of Pasadena’s most exquisite sites EVAH?? Their lovely August event will have The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa as the backdrop. Perfection!!

I had to debate posting this too, because I’ve got so many yummies to share with you. Aren’t you glad we’re back on track? I hope you’re loving the connection with me as much as I am LOVING my connection with you!

Loving love today!!

Can I say “fabulosa” like it’s a common term? I think so! E&J are possibly THEEE coolest thing since sliced bread. Or jazzercise. It’s a toss up, really. And to say that I’m thrilled with the engaement pics that Molly & Matt at Mathieu Photography plastered all over their blog… another egregious understatement. I love them. I LOVE THEM. I’m serious, y’all [can you tell I'm channeling my inner B. Spears when I say that word or WHAT?].

Take a look. See for yourself. I’ll bet you’ll fall into heart-melting, gut-wrenching, over-the-top love with them, too!!

Hope these pretty pretties are the perfect mid-week mind break!

Blogged: Alex and Brad!

POSTED BY Amanda

Can I brag enough about Alex and Brad’s wedding? I don’t think so.

I am BLOWN AWAY by Jan and Tey Garcia and their images from A&B’s big day! I needn’t say more. Seriously.

abw_blog_05.jpg

abw_blog_07.jpg

After the ceremony they went to Soka for their portraits. A PERFECT background, don’t you think? The grounds are so gorgeous over there… I love them all!!

abw_blog_08.jpg

True colors, shining through [that's why I love you!]

abw_blog_11.jpg

Straight out of the pages of Ceremony magazine! Well, it SHOULD be, that’s for sure!

abw_blog_12.jpg

Forgot to mention that Alex’s eyes are two different colors. We kinda bonded over that [but my eye is only 1/3 different than the other].

Inside the Art Gallery for a sneak at the reception:

More here on their blog. Since he blogged a gazillion of ‘em, it’s like a little eensy meensy surprise for you when you go visit. Jan’s art is apparent, right? Love them. Love their photos. Love their love [as always]!

Hope your weekend is full of remarkable moments that allow you to remember why you’re going through all this insanity in the first place- sometimes, you gotta look to find them. FIND THEM!
