Friday Lovely: Wedding Videos!

Okay so, this is a 50/50 thing right here. 50% me being “in trouble” with myself for not updating that crucial sidebar you see to your right to let you know that Candice [the lovely, lovely assistant that was with us for just over 1 year] has branched off to start her own video company with her husband. The other 50% is me literally glowing with pride over how she’s capturing love stories these days.

Favorite moment caught: during the ceremony, the way the bride is looking at her groom so emphatically. Like she’s letting every single moment of reality sink in. It’s really magical to watch.

Video Snippit: Wedding Chicks Merchandise!

I love videos. Like, really a lot. If you’ve been in a meeting with me and insist you aren’t interested in a videographer… you find this out quickly when you site my reaction to that statement. I’m not snobby about it, because I’m always seeking my clients’ best interest… but I am adamant. Only if I feel that my clients themselves may be ignoring their best interest. Because the truth it, the #1 thing you regret if you’re on the fence about it… is the video. And you can’t get that day back. Those looks. Those moments. Those words and that certain crack-in-the-voice from the one you love. It’s special and magical and made to be documented.

Here’s a quick snippit from Nick at Crafthouse Productions of just a quick styled shoot we threw together for Wedding Chicks. And even this is convincing me to pull out my own wedding video and watch it again [don't hate- it's a VHS]!! Hope it does for you, too!

What is not lovely about love in all of it’s honesty and reality? I cried like a baby after watching this video from a link via twitter. And even now, just thinking about it, my heart is moved.

I’m just not sure I could love it any more than I currently do. My heart is just moved by seeing these two “get married” all over again [mistake in the vows and all]. Video keepsakes like this are moments frozen in time. Moments that are here to warm your heart for years to come. Moments that your kids can look back on and see you- in the flesh- way back when. I’m quite passionate about my stand on hiring a professional to shoot your wedding and edit it into a little masterpiece like this. How much are you loving all of these little videos I’ve been posting lately?? I know that I absolutely ADORE seeing my clients in live-action, and it’s always such an emotional connection for me to remember the details of their wedding after the fact. Therese and Jim are no different. I got to work with Therese so closely over the year or so prior to their wedding, and I have nothing but glowing memories of perfection from their wedding day. Seeing what Daniel Boswell of Imagique put together for them, as a same-day edit video, brings me back so vividly to their nuptials from their Santa Monica wedding. Plus, well, the bride’s a knock-out! Just look at that gorgeous, lioness mane of hair! So jealous!! Enjoy the video and hang on tight for images from Amelia Lyon in the future!!

Like, seriously you guys…. I am in love with Nick Bowser and Craft House Productions. If I haven’t personally tried to convince you to spend a bit on a wedding video yet… here’s a little attempt for you, below:

Nick came out to take footage of the ShootOut and his compilation of the day is so perfect in essence. Talk about an art form! I’m so thankful that he was there to catch- in video format- the emotion and feeling of the day, as well as all the design details we worked to put together! It makes me feel so much more validated for my hard work [and heart] that went into the event!
